‘Cosmos’ Reboot to Air tonight on FOX

A generation ago, Carl Sagan’s television series ‘Cosmos’ dazzled audiences with stunning visuals, sound science and deeply personal narration. Through the success of ‘Cosmos’ and a long history of public service, Sagan became known as the greatest scientific communicator of the 20th century.

Now the baton has been passed this generation to Neil deGrasse Tyson as he hosts a new iteration of the much beloved series. Tyson is an astrophysicist that has risen to prominence as a scientific communicator much in the same vein as Sagan. He even met Sagan in his youth! Only time will tell how effective this reboot of this much beloved series will be to spur on a new generation of public scientific dialog. However, If I was a betting man, my money would be on Tyson.

Cosmos will air  at 9 p.m. ET. Sundays followed by an airing on Nat Geo on Mondays
